OUR SERVICES โ€” SURFERS PARADISE, GOLD COAST

Cosmetic and skin treatments

Every service below begins with a consultation. What may be appropriate for you depends on an individual clinical assessment.

Assessment first

How treatment is decided

All About Face Aesthetics is a consultation-led clinic. A consultation is a discussion about what you have noticed and what you would like to understand, not a booking for a procedure.

Your practitioner will consider your medical history, medications, facial anatomy, skin, previous procedures and personal preferences. Some of the services described on this page will not be appropriate for every person, and no treatment is a reasonable outcome of a consultation.

Prescription treatments cannot be discussed by phone or email and are not advertised. Where a prescription medicine may be relevant, that discussion happens in person with an appropriately qualified health practitioner.

01

Facial treatments

Some of these services involve prescription medicines and can only be discussed in person, after an individual assessment. The information below describes the areas of the face a consultation may cover โ€” it does not describe an outcome or recommend a procedure.

Facial lines and movement

A consultation to discuss changes in facial lines and expression, the areas of the face involved, and whether any option may be clinically appropriate for you. Limitations, alternatives, recovery and risks are explained before any decision is made.

Facial volume and contour

A consultation covering changes in facial shape, proportion and volume. Areas that may be discussed include the nose-to-mouth folds, the lines from the corners of the mouth to the chin, the cheeks, the jawline, the chin and the temples. Suitability varies considerably between individuals and depends on your anatomy and medical history.

Lip shape and definition

A consultation to discuss lip shape, symmetry, proportion, definition and hydration. No particular procedure or outcome is assumed, and a consultation does not commit you to treatment.

Skin treatments

Skin needling

A treatment in which fine needles create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. It is discussed in relation to skin texture, tone and the appearance of fine lines and pigmentation. Suitability depends on your skin, medical history and any current skin conditions.

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP)

A treatment using a component separated from a sample of your own blood, which is then reintroduced into the skin. It requires a blood draw. Suitability depends on your medical history and is assessed individually.

Skin hydration treatment

A treatment discussed in relation to skin hydration and skin quality. Suitability is assessed individually and is only discussed after a consultation.

Energy-based and device treatments

High-intensity focused ultrasound

A device-based treatment that delivers focused ultrasound energy to layers beneath the skin surface. It is discussed in relation to skin laxity. Suitability, the areas that may be treated and the number of sessions involved are determined at consultation.

Plasma skin treatments

A device-based treatment in which a small electrical discharge is applied above the skin surface. It is discussed in relation to skin laxity and skin texture, including around the eyelids, brow, neck and upper lip. It is a clinical procedure with a recovery period and is not suitable for everyone.

Body contouring

A device-based treatment applied to areas of the body. Suitability is assessed individually and depends on your medical history and circumstances. This is not a treatment for obesity or for any medical condition, and it is not a substitute for medical advice about body weight.

Intravenous nutrient infusions

Intravenous nutrient infusions are administered by a registered health practitioner following a health assessment.

Infusions are not a treatment for any medical condition and are not a substitute for medical care, a balanced diet or advice from your treating doctor. We do not advertise formulations, ingredients or claimed effects. What may be appropriate for you, and whether an infusion is appropriate at all, is determined at consultation.

Intravenous administration carries risks including bruising, pain or inflammation at the insertion site, infection, vein irritation, fluid overload and allergic reaction. Tell your practitioner about your medical history, medications and any allergies before an infusion is considered.

Making an informed decision

Before you book

Cosmetic procedures are a serious decision and are not suitable for everyone. Take the time you need. You are entitled to ask about the practitioner's registration and qualifications, the risks and possible complications, what recovery involves, what happens if you are unhappy with the outcome, and what the total cost would be.

Practitioners at All About Face Aesthetics work within their individual training, professional registration and scope of practice. Registration details, including Ahpra registration numbers, are available on request and are displayed at the clinic.

We do not offer cosmetic procedures as prizes, discounts or package deals, and we do not advertise prices for treatments involving prescription medicines.
